How to navigate graph?

Postby Rodger22 » 25 Jul 2013 05:05

Dear Experts,

I'm using Gephi on Redhat Linux 6.4.

Product Version: Gephi 0.8.2 201210100934
Java: 1.7.0_25; OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM 23.7-b01
System: Linux version 2.6.32-358.11.1.el6.x86_64 running on amd64; UTF-8; en_US (gephi)
User directory: /home/oracle/.gephi/0.8.2/dev
Cache directory: /home/oracle/.gephi/0.8.2/dev/var/

env | grep -i "java"

JAVA_PATH=/usr/java/jre1.7.0_21/bin
JAVA_HOME=/usr/java/jre1.7.0_21

I can open a graph.
Usually, I'll use the icon to center it.

Then with the mouse wheel, I can zoom in and out.

But the graph does not stay centered.
It moves east, west, sw, ne.

Pressing the centering icon will restore the small graph again.

The same behavior occurs in Windows 7.

How can I pan (up, down, left, right) to see whatever part of the graph I want?

Thanks a lot!

Hi,

Stop the layout to stop the graph moving, then use right-click + drag to pan.
