Time intervals

Postby mirna.wasef » 01 Aug 2013 03:19

I need to map out information about the construction of buildings and the actors that have contributed to its design. like architects, engineers, land owners etc.

I wanted to visualize this in a time interval where a building node appears on the date on which it was built. I also want to place them spatially based on a geographic location (i.e on a map). I only have the years as to when these buildings were built.

so I have followed this tutorial here and followed the three steps:

Tranform existing column in Time Interval

I don't know why but when I play the timeline nothing changes.
I just want the nodes i.e buildings to appear one by one along with their edges.
I am working directly on Gephi since I don't do any sort of programming.

here is a link to a screen shot of the nodes table on Gephi showing how I entered the data for the years

Also I have added another link here to show the table for the edges

The data looks right.

You should see the changes in overview.
If you mean to see the changes in Data Laboratory tables, make sure to click in Configuration button and check 'Visible graph only' option
