Data Import from CSV file

Postby tanee.mdz » 26 Feb 2014 08:46

I want to import the data from a csv file which has around 600 rows and 19 columns. My csv file looks like this:
Name Attr1 Attr2 Attr3 Attr 4 etc
sam yes no yes yes ...
dan no no yes no ...

etc etc
where i want the names (sam, dan) to be considered as nodes and the common attributes between them(attr2, attr3) to be edges connecting them.
But, when ever i import the file gphis asks for the nodes and considers each value as a separate node.
How can i achieve this kind of graph using gephi?
Kindly help! Thanks!

To do that you could you a software I've written:
https://github.com/seinecle/Gaze/wiki/G ... r-networks

However you'd need to slightly reformat the csv you have (Gaze needs to have just one attribute per line, so you need to write your node for as many lines as attributes it has)

Thank you, will try using it.
I found a work-around with the csv file format itself. So, started using that. :)
Thanks again!
